As of July 6, CHN Energy’s Baoshen Railway Company has safely operated 20,821 ten-thousand-ton heavy-haul trains this year, achieving a freight volume exceeding 150 million tons.
Throughout the year, the company has fully leveraged its role as a key energy transport artery. It has proactively managed fluctuations in transport demand to ensure stable energy supply during the summer peak period.
Baoshen Railway Company optimized transport operations by strengthening its cross-docking strategy. While maintaining traditional cargo sources like semi-coke and copper concentrate, it actively expanded new freight volumes including southbound Mongolian coal and outbound Xinjiang coal. The company closely monitored coal supply organization at loading stations along the route, accelerated coordination across loading, transportation and unloading processes, and improved the turnaround efficiency of locomotives and rolling stock.
Technologically, the company maximized the advantages of its high-power Guoneng AC locomotives, adopting flexible marshalling configurations to boost the efficiency of ten-thousand-ton train operations. On June 16, it achieved its highest locomotive deployment record this year. Concurrently, the company has initiated preparatory work for operating 16,000-ton heavy-haul trains and completed trials of C70E wagon unit trains at ten-thousand-ton capacity, laying the groundwork for future transport capacity expansion.
